Huey signs baseball scholarship with Freed-Hardeman
Flanked by his parents Stacey and Robert Huey, Columbia Academy’s Alex Huey signs a Letter of Intent to attend Freed-Hardeman University. In the back row are Freed-Hardeman coach John Estes and Columbia Academy coach Richie Estep. In his three-year career at CA, the Marshall County native posted a 21-9 mark with a 2.03 ERA, 244 strikeouts in 180 innings, 19 complete games and six shutouts while allowing a .212 opponents’ batting average. He’s totaled 100-plus strikeouts each of his last two seasons.
