Gerald Sorrells “Bugger” Welch, 90, of Petersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at Donalson Care Center. He was born on July 4, 1932, son of of the late William Oliver and Lizzie Mai Sorrells Welch. He was a veteran and a retired employee of the Lincoln Farmers Co-Op.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Millie Ruth Smith Welch; sister, Edith Wels; and brother, Marion Welch.
Mr. Welch is survived by his daughter: Sylvia (Ricky) Wilburn of Lewisburg: sons; Jackie (Julie) Welch and Darshall Welch all of Petersburg: grandchildren; Janessa Mills, Houston Welch and Jacob Wilburn: and great-grandchildren; Corley Mills, Tripp Mills, Darcy Jo Welch and Ophelia Welch.
Funeral Services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial followed in Old Orchard Cemetery. Visitation with the family was held Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
