George "Ed" Edward Dodson, 81, of Lewisburg, passed away on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his residence.
A native of Columbia, Mr. Dodson was self-employed and retired from his upholstery business.
He was preceded in death by his longtime partner in life, Maggie Rainey, and a brother, Boyd Dodson.
Mr. Dodson is survived by two sons, Rick Dodson and Scott Dodson, and a daughter, Patty Richmond, all of Lewisburg. Two brothers, Charles Dodson of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Jimmy Dodson of Hohenwald; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren also survive him.
Funeral services for Mr. Dodson will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
Visitation with the family will also be Wednesday from 3 until 6 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
