Esther Margarita Raffo, “Nena”, 91, resident of Lewisburg, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 3, 2020, in her home in Callao, Peru. Born on Feb. 16, 1929, in Callao, Peru, she was the daughter of the late Ramon Coronado and Esther Dañino de Coronado. She happily lived in Lewisburg with her husband, Adan Raffo for 27 years. ...

Esther Margarita Raffo, “Nena”, 91, resident of Lewisburg, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 3, 2020, in her home in Callao, Peru.

Born on Feb. 16, 1929, in Callao, Peru, she was the daughter of the late Ramon Coronado and Esther Dañino de Coronado. She happily lived in Lewisburg with her husband, Adan Raffo for 27 years. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage. During her time in Lewisburg, she enjoyed volunteering at Marshall Elementary School and being an active member of the Pilot Club. She loved to cook large Peruvian meals for her family and friends. She was most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and all their accomplishments. “Nena” loved everyone. She was a selfless and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She never met a stranger. She was loved by all.

Her husband, Adan Raffo of Lewisburg, passed away Aug. 9, 2020. She is survived by her sister, Hortencia Coronado Ortiz of Lima, Peru; brother, Adolfo Coronado of Cordova, Argentina; son and grandchildren, Vitto (Lisa) Raffo of Lewisburg, Nena Raffo (Will) Bowman, Cece Raffo (Brandon) Johns, and Sophie Raffo; three daughters and grandchildren, Silvana Raffo of Lima, Peru, Carlos (Mariana) Lanfranco Raffo, Cecilia Raffo of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Ian (Jennifer) Castro, Leyla Pazos (Keith Porter), Mayra Pazos (Michael) Costanzo, Jario (Diana) Pazos, Tamara Pazos; Fiorella (Max) Leon, Renato Leon and Ximena Leon; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was laid to rest in her hometown of Callao, Peru. At this time, services and celebrations of life will be announced at a later time.
