Elwood Richard Phillips, 82, of Cornersville, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at NHC Lewisburg.
Mr. Phillips was a native of Clementon, NJ and the son of the late Edwin and Mable Falls Phillips. He was retired from Walker Die Casting, a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Church of the Redeemer in Shelbyville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald James Phillips and David Bryan Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Karen Williams Phillips of Cornersville; two sons, Nation Williams and Russell (Jessica) Williams both of Cornersville; daughter, Desirae Williams of Lewisburg; brother, Bobby Phillips of NJ: two sisters, Eleanor Kitchen of New Jersey and Edna Bakley of SC; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at 1 p.m. in Short cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service.
