Mr. Elmer D. “Buster” Ring, 65, resident of Lewisburg, died on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at his home.
Funeral services for Buster will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Brother Danny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Born on Sept. 30, 1955, in Columbia, he was the son of the late Elmer Ring, Sr., and the late Kathleen Lovett Ring. Buster served in the United States Navy from 1973-1976. He was a retired electrical maintenance technician, and an avid outdoorsman. Buster was a member of Farmington Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Brandon Ring of Columbia; daughters, Misty (Jacob) Love of Columbia, Cathy (Keith) Holt of Culleoka; sister, Brenda Wendt of Columbia; grandchildren, Bradley Love, Hailey Love, Madeline Carroll, Lily Ring, Sophie Ring, Abrie Ring, Ada Ring, Cayden Holt, Bob Holt; cousin, Annie Lunn of Columbia; and his pet dog, Curly Mo.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Velvet Jean Cozart Ring and sister, Bobbie “Wendell” Briggs.
