Mrs. Elinor Elizabeth Glenn George, age 91, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Mar. 16, 2017, at NHC Oakwood.

Mrs. George was a native of Marshall County and the daughter of the late Herbert Hoyle and Mazie Wilma Davis Glenn. She retired from Faber Castell, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Marshall County Square Dance Club, and had traveled to 49 of the 50 United States.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl Ilene George. She preceded her husband in death, Macklin George, and is survived by one daughter, Janet (David) White of Petersburg; three sons, Phillip (Lydia) George of Lewisburg, David George of Nashville, and Kenneth (Nancy) George of Lewisburg. Six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and eight step-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Mar. 20, 2017, at 7 p.m. From the Chapel of London Funeral Home and burial will follow at a later date in Bethbirei Cemetery.

Visitation was on Monday evening from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour.
