Edith Frances Christmas, 88, of Lewisburg, TN, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, in NHC Oakwood.

Mrs. Christmas was a native of Giles County, born Aug. 9, 1930, daughter of Otis and Mecie Smith Rutledge. She was a homemaker and member of Lewisburg First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Howard Christmas; five sisters, Mildred Tate, Ruth Thompson, Bobbie Joyce Oliver, Evelyn Parks, and Geraldean Rutledge; six brothers, J.B. Rutledge, Smith Rutledge, Franklin Rutledge, Delano Rutlege, Roosevelt Rutledge and Charles Dean Rutledge. She is survived by one son, Howard Christmas of Lewisburg; four daughters, Gladys (Ronnie) Ware, Margaret Blackwell, Diana (Randy) Williams and Vickie Christmas all of Lewisburg; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. for visitation.
