Doyle Waters Ballinger, 82, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at his residence.
He was a native of Smith County, TN, the son of the late Cordell and Lucille Bush Ballinger. He was employed with the County Highway Department for over thirty years.
Doyle was an avid horse lover. He enjoyed attending horse shows and raising colts.
He is survived by wife, Betty Chilton Ballinger; son, Ronald Ballinger; sisters, Hattie Lou Brannon, Shirley Ann (Bobby) Kelly; five brothers, Charles (Linda) Ballinger, James (Linda) Ballinger, Leon (Nancy) Ballinger, Kenneth (Doris) Ballinger, Billy Ballinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in Short Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests everyone follow CDC guidelines with social distancing and the wearing of masks.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
