Dorris E. White, 73, of the Haskins Chapel Community, died Saturday, June 2, 2012.
A native of Bedford County, Mr. White was the son of the late Joe Edward and Mary Blackwell White. He was a retired construction worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pugh White, who died in 1996.
He is survived by five sisters, Frances Hawkins of Oakland, Calif., Martha Alarcon of Orlando, Fla., Sandra Whitney of Hayden, Ind., Remona Moon of Haskins Chapel, and Donna Haskins of Lewisburg.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 5, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home, followed by burial in Hopper Cemetery.
Lawrence Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Chapel Hill, was in charge of arrangements.
