Clifford Odell Jones of Manchester, passed this life on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at his residence at the age of 84.
Mr. Jones was born in Columbia, to the late James Burney and Mary Emily Sexton Jones. During his life, he worked as a computer technician for ARO and Calspan and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Manchester and the American Legion Post 43.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones wais preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Armstrong Jones; one daughter, Martha Bell; three brothers, Preston, Eugene, and Porter Jones; and three sisters, Irene Haislip, Adell Pickard, and Pauline Tice.
He is survived by two daughters, Melinda Rhea and her husband Danny of Manchester and Mary Barnes and her husband Tony of Winchester; two sisters, Sallie Holder of Lewisburg and Betty Wilson of Lawrenceburg; one son-in-law, Danny Bell; two sisters-in-law, Thelma and Katherin Jones; eight grandchildren, Michelle Hawkersmith, Tommy York Jr., Aaron Bell, Bryan Bell, Jeremy Rhea, Jason Rhea, Olivia Wright, and Heather Metzger; and 12 great-grandchildren, Matt, Allysa, Chloe, Alisabeth, Allison, Allisa, Alex, Grant, Shaylee, Garrison, Morgan and Max.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Tommy York Jr., Jeremy Rhea, Jason Rhea, Matt Hereford, Aaron Bell, Bryan Bell, Chris Hawkersmith, Michael Wright, and Bryan Metzger. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Condra, Turney Trussel and Joey Kemp.
Kilgore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
