Cheryl Darlene Smith, 68, passed away at her residence in Lewisburg, TN on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She was born in Lincoln County, TN on Jan. 2, 1950, to the late Eldon and Neva Tucker Vann Mitchell. She was a homemaker after spending several years as a cafeteria worker at the Scales Elementary School.

Darlene was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her first husband, Douglas Waggoner and a brother Jeff Mitchell. She is survived by her second husband, Harold Smith, Lewisburg, TN; daughter, Jennifer Crowell of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Floyd Mitchell of Lincoln County, TN; two sisters, Melissa Rucker of Decatur, AL and Wanda Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; along with six nephews and one niece.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Franklin, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Five-Points Volunteer Fire Department, Cornersville, TN.
