Mr. Charles Morton Clanton, 83, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, June 23, 2019.
He was a retired 31 year employee of Eaton Corporation; a member of the United Steel Workers; a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Methodist Church.
Charles was the son of the late Charlie and Montie Rogers Clanton and the husband of the late Charlene Bowers Clanton. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Claude Clanton and John Clanton. He is survived by his children, Stan (Teresa) Clanton, Sherry (Bill) Davis; grandchildren, Chris (Anele) Davis, Ryan Clanton and Matthew Clanton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Rev. Ron DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow at Short Cemetery-Spring Place. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Hillcrest Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
