Charles E. Rogers, 77, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his residence. A native of Marshall County, Mr. Rogers was the son of the late Narve Rogers and the late Gertie Jones Rogers. He was owner of Rogers Logging for over 50 years. Charles E. Rogers, 77, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his residence.
A native of Marshall County, Mr. Rogers was the son of the late Narve Rogers and the late Gertie Jones Rogers. He was owner of Rogers Logging for over 50 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wallace, Jamie, and Bill Rogers; and one grandson, Richard Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by four daughters, Cathey (Wendall) Fullerton, Charlene (Ron) Thurman, Janice Coyle, and Kim (Keith) Rogers; three sons, Ricky (Janet) Rogers, Danny (Christy) Rogers, and Michael Rogers; one brother, David Rogers; and four sisters, Barbara Rogers, Shirley Pierce, Ruth Chilton, and June Gowen, all of Lewisburg. Fourteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive him.
Funeral services for Mr. Rogers were held Saturday, July 20, from the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, followed by burial in Whorley Cemetery.
