Bro. James Edward Burrow Sr., 89, of Pulaski passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. He was born in Marshall County on Sept. 13, 1924. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army. Bro. James Edward Burrow Sr., 89, of Pulaski passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.

He was born in Marshall County on Sept. 13, 1924. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army. He preached from 1961 at Thompson Chapel, Union Hill, Kelley's Creek, Wheelerton, and was the current preacher of McBurg First Baptist Church, which he and 16 other members help to build.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary Harbor Burrow, and stepmother, Lizzie Burrow.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Myrl Hargrove Burrow of Pulaski; son, James E. Burrow Jr. and wife Kay of Pulaski; grandson, Rodney Burrow and wife Kim of Pulaski; grandson, Ronnie Burrow and wife Holly of Pulaski; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Harold (Treva) Burrow of Pulaski.

Funeral service was on Monday, Oct. 28, at McBurg First Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial with full military honors followed in Wright Cemetery in Lincoln County.
