Benton Martin, 86, resident of Lewisburg, died on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Johnson officiating. Benton Martin, 86, resident of Lewisburg, died on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Johnson officiating. A Williamson County native, he was born on Jan. 21, 1934, to the late Jessee W. Martin and the late Grace Marlin Martin. Benton served in the U.S. Army, enjoyed farming, and was a member of the Nazarene faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Dan Rainey Martin of Lewisburg; daughters, Terrie Lynn (Terry) Parrish of Verona, Mary Beth Martin of Lewisburg; sisters, Carolyn Judd of Columbia, Jo-anne King of Columbia, Janice Walls of Franklin, Debbie Klinger of Lebanon; grandchildren, Katie Rosetta (Nathan) Hill of Lewisburg, Carmen Elizabeth (John Stubblefield) Parrish; great-grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Hill, Benton Parker Hill, Hazel Smith all of Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Dennis Martin, Donald Martin, Delmer Martin, Delbert Martin, Gillman Martin, Danny Martin, and David Martin.
