Althea Boyd Banks, 90, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, 2011, in Lewisburg.
Mrs. Banks was born in Tampa, Fla. and was a daughter of the late Olen and Thelma Holt Hill. She was a beautician and a member of the Baptist Church.
Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her first husband, George W. Boyd, who died in 1999, and by her second husband, Don R. Banks, who died in 2008.
Mrs. Banks is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Frank) Holt of Lewisburg and Judy (Ed) Reid of Maryville; two stepdaughters, Diane Buchannan of Odessa, Fla. and Robin Stephens of Odgen, Utah; stepson, Jimmy Banks of Inverness, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Family members will receive friends on Wednesday evening, Oct. 12, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will be later in Tampa, Fla.
