Alice George Reid Robinson, 87, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
She was born in Birmingham, Ala. on Sept. 8, 1925. Mrs. Robinson was formerly a member of Tannehill Valley Baptist Church, and at her death was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ross Reid and Vera Traywick Reid, and her daughter, Sherra Robinson Orman.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband, Jack Edward Robinson, and they were to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary in August; her daughter, Jackie Robinson Barnes (Kenny); grandson, Kelly Orman; granddaughter, Stacey Barnes Edgil (Bobby); and her great-grandchildren, Chappell and Jack Edgil, and K.C and Kameron Orman.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 28.
