Adelaide Sanders Bigham, 92, of Lewisburg, passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at her residence.
A native of the Delina Community, Mrs. Bigham was the daughter of the late Alex Sanders and Grace Taylor Sanders. She retired from Peoples and Union Bank, and was a member of the American Legion and the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Hughey W. Bigham, who passed away in 2001, and one sister, Evelyn Clark.
She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Hill of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Meredith (Joe Davis) of Kingston Springs and Eric (Melissa) Hill of Decatur, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren, Finli, Mabry, and Baby Hill (to arrive February 2015).
Funeral services for Mrs. Bigham were held Sunday, Nov. 9, at First United Methodist Church in Lewisburg with Rev. Leland Carden officiating. A private burial followed in Medium Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Oak Grove Elementary School Library, the Children's Youth Program at First United Methodist Church in Lewisburg, or to Village Manor for the purchase of a computer.
