FOXBORO -- When Don Thomas took over as coach at Marshall County High in Lewisburg, Tenn., in December 2006, he was faced with an enviable challenge: Where should he play Dont'a Hightower the following season?

The 36th Annual Lions Super Pull of the South, one of the landmark stops for the National Tractor Pull Association (NTPA) circuit, transformed Chapel Hill into a small city over the weekend and once again, was a huge success.
Tractor Pull Chairman Chris Gilbert, who has been a part of all 36 Super Pulls said, "Things went great this weekend, it was an exciting time and we had big crowds both nights. We had little rain delay Saturday night, but we covered the track and once the showers went away, we got right back to pulling and things went fantastic."
Gilbert indicated that the estimated gross income from the Super Pull would be between $350,000 and $400,000.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Well, NASCAR certainly knows how to make a prime-time impression.

And Brad Keselowski tweeted most of it live. From his race car. Then he provided another update minutes after crashing at 190 mph.
And oh, yeah, Matt Kenseth picked up his second Daytona 500 title.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. left Daytona frustrated and furious last July. One of his favorite tracks, the place forever linked to his family name, had become a bore. Junior disliked every aspect of the newfangled tandem racing at NASCAR's superspeedways: the blind pushing, the feeling of not being in total control and the need for constant communication...
