GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- As a kid, years before he became a pretty good quarterback in his own right, Tom Brady idolized Joe Montana.
Now, at age 37, Brady owns just as many Super Bowl championships -- and just as many Super Bowl MVP awards -- as the Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Henry Horton assistant golf professional Kevin Snell's defense of his Tennessee PGA National Car Rental Assistant Championship title turned into a three-man shootout Tuesday at Temple Hills Golf Club in Franklin with Nashville's McCabe Field Golf Course's Audie Johnson coming out on top by a slim two strokes.
"That was good competition, Audie is a good player and I knew it was going to be a tough day with this north wind," said Snell. "I had a lot of long putts, I struggled with the putter and the irons, and I wasn't hitting them on line very good. I can't really complain, I shot one-under, but it was not good enough to catch Audie."

Wheel, TN (November 15-16, 2013)- The 2nd Annual Deep Fried 75 by CT Promotions concluded on Saturday evening in front of a capacity crowd and what an evening it was as Josh Putnam of Florence, AL scored the biggest win of his racing career by collecting a $10,000 payday in the 2nd Annual Deep Fried 75 aboard his Valley Metal/441 Race Wraps/Owl Creek Sod Farms/Neat Parts sponsored #212 Bob Pierce Race Car powered by a Jeff Burns Race Engine. The event was an absolute slugfest as Putnam and Skylar Marlar raced wheel-to-wheel for a majority of the second-half of the event, trading the lead officially on five different occasions, but unofficially many more times than that around the ultra-racy ΒΌ mile arena.

Chattanooga, TN - Play has concluded at the picturesque Chattanooga Golf & Country Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. for the E-Z-GO Pro-Pro Championship. Chattanooga Golf & Country Club played great host with wonderful accommodations, food, amenities and golf. The weather and course conditions were perfect for the two days, and some great golf was played. The first day totals kept the competition close, as there were a few groups in the hunt. In the end, Jared Melson, PGA of Bear Trace of Tims Ford and Kevin Snell of Henry Horton State Park led this field with a 64-63 -- 127 total. Their total of 15-under par topped the field over closest competitors Henrik Simonsen, PGA and Byron Williams, PGA team and local team Bruce Etter, PGA and Madison Moore who both had a 13-under par total. The competition was closely contested coming into the final holes when Snell & Melson stepped up their game making birdies on 16 & 17. Melson made a tricky 8-foot sidewinder that put them two strokes up heading into 18. Kevin Snell made a great up and down for par on 18 to seal the deal. For their efforts, Snell & Melson walk home with $1,500 each.
This year's championship also featured a B Division for the highest 8 groups after round one, and Ken Crowder, PGA and Chris Stacy, PGA of Lonesome Pine Country Club won the division by firing a second round 68. They received $600 for their great comeback round.
