Sports isn't a perfect world, there are many negative aspects that make it seem cold and self-centric, yet time after time there are those instances of sport making life's challenges a little bit better.

he Marshall County Tigerettes are 3-1, yes you heard it right, 3-1.
Lewisburg had not started off with that record since the 2009 season and the two wins is double what they won all of last year.
The storied program that holds four state titles with the last coming in 2007-2008 had fallen on hard times, suffering six seasons without a winning record.
David Steely, the coach of the 2007-2008 Class AA title team couldn't take it anymore and has returned to the bench with his father Donald by his side with hopes of guiding the program back to prominence.

The Cornersville boys traveled to Eagleville on Tuesday night to kick off the season in a Hall of Champions game, looking to bounce back after a 1-22 season in 2015-16 with a new coach Matt Hagan at the helm.
Eagleville also looked to build on a less than stellar 2015-16 season that ended with a loss in the first round of the district tournament and a 12-13 record.
Cornersville proved that the rebuilding process could be a long road as the Eagles jumped out to 53-18 halftime lead and ultimately won going away 77-46, but coach Hagan was able to find a few bright spots in the tough opening loss.
