The Forrest Lady Rockets knew it was going to be a tough task to beat Nolensville on its home floor and even more difficult without starting post player Sydney Hill, who was sidelined with an ankle injury. Hill, Forrest’s lone senior on the squad was expected to be back in the fold last night when the Lady Rockets travelled to Lewisburg. more

Forrest was up against the wall before the match even started versus Fairview, giving up 30 points via forfeits as they were unable to fill five weight classes. more

Watch out for the Tigerettes! The Lewisburg girls travelled to Unionville Tuesday night for the District 12-AA opener for both ball clubs and they battled in a close contest for three quarters, before the Tigerettes erupted in a huge fourth quarter assault to win going away 52-37 and extend their winning streak to 10 games. more
The Forrest Lady Rockets finished their pre-district schedule with a solid 11-5 record, including a hard fought 43-27 win over Battle Ground Academy (BGA) Friday night at Chapel Hill. “The girls came out with a lot of energy and enthusiasm to play the game and that’s what we have to do to win,” Forrest coach Jeremy Jean said. “If we have that type of energy and unselfishness and looking for the next person to make the shot, than we can be pretty good.” more
The Marshall County Tigerettes made their first-ever region tournament appearance on Monday and ran into a buzz saw as the Blackman Lady Blaze rolled a three-game sweep over the Lewisburg girls. “I’m super proud of this team,” MCHS assistant coach Curtis Self said. “We have three seniors who have been here since they were freshmen.” “They have worked hard and they have been the ones who have been knocked out every year in the district, so they finally got here and I’m really proud of how hard they worked and it’s a great honor to be here and to be one of the four teams left in the region.” more
The Marshall County High School girls bowling team etched its mark in the history books on Thursday at the Tenn Pin Alley in Columbia when they reached the finals of the District 8 Bowling Tournament. “They are super excited, they have worked hard all year,” MCHS assistant coach Curtis Self said. “Last year they came in as the number-one seed and they just weren’t used to that spot and faltered in the second round against Lawrence County.” “This year they came back a lot more confident, a lot more ready for the experience, and they were just ready, they were there.” more
Since taking over the head coaching position at Forrest, one thing Jeremy Jean has not been scared to do is put together a challenging schedule before the Lady Rockets get into district play. 2018-19 has been no exception as the Lady Rockets beat DII powerhouse Baylor by 11, recent 2A state champion Martin Luther King by 10 points, and lost a two-point contest to 3A Oakland, one of the largest high schools in Tennessee. more
Following an opening round win over Scotts Hill at the Above the Rim Tournament at Hickman County High School, the MCHS Tigerettes returned the following day for a semifinal matchup against Lewis County, who had taken care of Harpeth the previous day. Although the final score of 45-32 in favor of Marshall County alludes to a semi-close ballgame, the Tigerettes dominated from the opening tip and emptied the bench early enough for the Lady Panthers to make the final score appear closer than the game really was. more
