The Forrest Lady Rockets garnered an impressive 11-0 run-rule win versus Huntland Wednesday night, but in the process lost freshman sensation Katie Warrick for the season when she suffered a broken left leg on a collision play near the second-base bag in the top of the second inning.
"We are heartbroken for her," said Forrest head coach Becky Cheatham after the game. "We pray that she is going to be OK and things will be alright. We stepped up as a team after her injury and I am proud of the team for that, but we are certainly going to miss her."
