The Marshall County Tigers' playoff run came to an end on Monday night when they lost 8-6 to the Montgomery Central Indians at home in the first round of the Region 6-AA tournament. On Thursday night at Reese Hambrick Field in Lewisburg, the Marshall County Tigerettes needed just one win to take the District 12-AA Tournament title away from longtime foe Lewis County, and just like in the past, when these two teams meet, anything can happen. The Tigerettes would eventually seize the title in a 10-5 win in game two, but the road to victory was as wild and whacky as many have witnessed in a long time. more

In the process, the Lady Rockets buried a long lasting bad dream from last year's 1-0 loss to Houston County in the first round of the region tournament.
