The Forrest Rockets fell 35-20 to District 10-A's White House-Heritage (WHH) Friday night as they could not overcome the emotion generated by the Patriots' first ever Homecoming at their new field, a one-sided hanky party by the game officials and a momentum changing third quarter kickoff return touchdown run by the Pats.
"We just have to do what we are supposed to do," said Forrest head coach Moos. "In some instances we did and we had success and in some instances we didn't and that is why we didn't have success when we should have or could have."
Both squads punted on their first possessions of the ballgame before the Pats went on a 65-yard scoring drive, capped off by a Devin Wright 15-yard touchdown reception from Christian Reid.

After posting a 1-1 record on a two-week road to begin the season, the Forrest Rockets returned home to "The Rock" Friday night for a District 9-A match-up versus Community, and after allowing an early Viking touchdown, the Chapel Hill squad turned up the heat to win going away 35-14.

We practice and put them in the game situations of what is going to happen and sometimes they do it and sometimes they don't. It's just aggravating because I care for them and want them to be the best they can be."
