The Marshall County Tigerettes just want to play some ball.
With just two games completed during this rainy, cold early season, the Tigerettes were fired up and ready to play on Wednesday in a make-up game versus Columbia Central at Reese Hambrick Field in Lewisburg.
"I think it took us a while to get used to the timing of the pitcher, she was a little bit slower than the other two we faced back-to-back, so it just took us a while to get that timing," said MCHS coach Heather Denton.

The prep baseball season goes by in a hurry, so a team doesn't have a lot of time to work through ups and downs.
They have to bounce back fast from a setback.
That's exactly what Marshall County High School did on Tuesday night as they traveled to Page and avenged an extra inning loss to the Patriots on Monday with an 8-0 blanking.

Girls like to play in the mud too.
Especially softball girls, who during much of their careers will play in some pretty harsh weather.
There was not much of a window in the cold rain Thursday night, but the Forrest Middle School Lady Rockets needed just a small break as they beat Spring Hill Middle School 17-0 in three innings at the Field of Dreams in Chapel Hill.

Forrest standout hits winner vs. Moore Co.
Respect comes in many ways.
For Forrest's Samantha King, it means batting behind Katie Warrick, who is walked frequently by other teams that are just downright scared, or very smart.
So far this season, King has delivered in the clutch and Monday in Chapel Hill, the sophomore first-sacker did it again, knocking in Kiyoko Puca in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure a 2-1 win over Moore County.
