That is what the Forrest Lady Rockets accomplished on Tuesday night at the Field of Dreams in Chapel Hill, sweeping Fayetteville and Huntland in a double header.
Forrest banged out 33 hits in the two run-rule wins, pounding Fayetteville 12-2 before completely demolishing Huntland 15-0 in the nightcap.

The Cornersville Bulldogs kept themselves in the running for the District 11-A regular season title by defeating conference co-leader Richland 9-4 at home on Tuesday night to snap a five-game losing streak.
Cornersville (10-7, 7-2 District) held a 5-3 lead through the first three innings of play before pushing across four runs over the next two frames to open up a 9-3 advantage en route to handing the Raiders (14-2, 9-2 District) just their second loss of the season.

Junior pitcher Stuart Warner helped stop the Marshall County Tigers' slide down the District 12-AA standings, as he tossed a complete game on Wednesday night to lead MCHS to a 5-2 win over first place Spring Hill at home.
Having lost their last four District games, which included a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Spring Hill the previous evening, Marshall County held a 2-1 lead through the first four and a half innings of Wednesday's contest before pushing across three runs in the bottom of the fifth to open up a 5-1 advantage.

Hits fly in district contest, sweep of season series
After posting a 3-1 record at the Tennessee Softball Coaches Association Tournament over the weekend, the Marshall County Tigerettes made easy work of Christ Presbyterian Academy on Wednesday when they crushed the Lady Lions 16-1 in five innings to complete the sweep of the season series.
Marshall County (7-4, 2-2 District) got contributions from their entire lineup and banged out 16 hits overall against CPA starting pitcher Hope Wells, who suffered the loss.

The Forrest Rockets were sitting atop the District 9-A standings after sweeping Moore County in a doubleheader on Saturday in Chapel Hill, but on Tuesday Eagleville turned the tables on coach Jimmy Nave's squad when they took a pair in Rutherford County.
The Eagles won the first game 4-1 before completing the sweep with a 5-1 win over Forrest.

The Marshall County Tigerettes outhit Giles County 7-6 Thursday night at Reese Hambrick Field in Lewisburg, but just could not push across a run when they needed to in a 2-1 eight-inning loss to the Lady Bobcats.
"It's tough loss for us, but we battled the entire time," said Marshall County coach Heather Denton. "Our girls were up and they never gave up, so it was a hard loss."

The Forrest Lady Rockets put an undefeated record on the line at the Raptor Classic in Brentwood last weekend, facing a gauntlet of five 3A teams that have a combined 68-28-1 record.
On Friday night at Crockett Park, Forrest opened up against Franklin and came away with a 4-1 win thanks to a nine-hit effort at the plate and a strong performance in the circle by Katie Warrick.

Cannon County (2-5-2) dealt the Marshall County Tigers their fourth straight loss on the pitch when the Lions defeated MCHS 1-0 in Lewisburg on Saturday afternoon.
Although the Tigers (3-4) controlled play in the first half, they failed to convert on several scoring chances and were locked in a 0-0 tie with Cannon County at the break.

The Cornersville Lady Bulldogs (5-1, 4-0 District) completed the season sweep of archrival Richland (2-6, 2-5 District) on Thursday afternoon when they defeated the Lady Raiders 10-5 at home.
Having crushed Richland 16-0 in their previous encounter on March 26, Cornersville held just a 6-5 lead through the first two and a half innings of Thursday's contest due to some early miscues by its defense.

Marshall County (7-10, 2-3 District) held a 3-2 lead through the first six innings of play, but the Bobcats (8-9, 1-4 District) seized a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning on the strength of a two-out, two-run double by Rob McMasters.

After weeks of trying to play due to a myriad of weather related postponements, the county middle school softball rivalry between Forrest and Lewisburg Middle School finally resumed on Wednesday night in Chapel Hill.
LMS, the defending conference tournament champions, was the home team on the scoreboard in the matchup, but it was the Lady Rockets who prevailed 8-1 on the Field of Dreams.

The Forrest Lady Rockets, coming off a successful road trip in Panama City, shook off some Florida sand before blasting Page 8-0 in five innings Wednesday night in Chapel Hill.
"I thought we were kind of sluggish, but you can expect that with a week's layoff," said Forrest coach Becky Cheatham. "It took us a while to get the bats rolling. I would like to see us be a little bit more aggressive at the plate, when that strike comes across, jump on it and get the job done then."

Longtime assistant named Forrest basketball coach
Randy Toombs has worn many different coaching hats in his long tenure in the Middle Tennessee school systems, but the 1979 Smyrna High graduate feels he has finally found the job he was searching for when he was named head coach for Forrest basketball.
"I am very honored and proud of the fact that coach Mac (Forrest principal Davy McClaran) and coach (Scott) Delk felt like they could trust me with this program," said Toombs. "This is the most excited I have been in a long time and I am probably in one the best places I have been, personally and professionally."

Eagleville (7-5) snapped the Cornersville Bulldogs' five-game winning streak on Friday afternoon when the Eagles defeated the Bulldogs 5-0 at home.
Cornersville (9-3) had averaged a gaudy 13.6 runs per game over their last five contests, but saw their bats cool off on Friday and mustered just three hits against two Eagleville hurlers. Tate Lowery, Colby Downs, and Ben Taylor each tallied one hit for the Bulldogs.
