The Bobcats (7-2-1, 5-1) proved to be too much to handle for the Tigerettes, (11-1, 4-1) scoring four goals in the first 20 minutes en route to a 5-0 win. more
The Forrest Lady Rockets wasted little time disposing of the Huntland Lady Hornets on Tuesday at Chapel Hill, scoring three goals in the first 10 minutes and five in the first half on the way to an 8-0 shutout win. "We are finally coming together and playing as a team," Forrest coach Natalie Dennis said. "We are meshing and we have to have to finish out the season in a strong way." more

The Forrest Lady Rockets wanted a win to clinch the District 9A-AA North title Thursday night versus Community at Chapel Hill, but settled for a tie after leading for the first 60 minutes of the game. "My heart can't take it, it was nerve wracking, very nerve wracking," Forrest coach Natalie Dennis said. "It was great competition." more

The Cornersville Middle School Bulldogs moved to 3-0 on the season, defeating Huntland 24-0 on the road Thursday night. It was the second win over the season over the Hornets, who were stymied by the Bulldog defense. Huntland rushed for just 37 yards in the contest and went 0-2 in the passing category. more
Marshall County overcame a slow start, then added two late goals Saturday afternoon to finish off a 3-0 victory against Lawrence County in a girls home soccer match. The win was the fifth straight shutout for the Tigerettes (11-0, 4-0) and set up a showdown Tuesday at Giles County for first place in the district. more
Marshall County High School proudly recognized two Tiger football players who were selected by Murphy Fair and STAR Physical Therapy to the 2015 TSSAA Class 4-A pre-season All-State Team. Senior lineman Steven Clemmons and junior wide receiver Jay Howard were awarded their certificates by coach Thomas Osteen at Friday's pep rally where the MCHS student body fired the team up before its victory at Giles County. more

The Forrest Lady Rockets picked up their fourth straight win Tuesday, defeating the Middle Tennessee Home Education Association Crusaders 5-0 in Columbia. Forrest (5-2, 2-0) led 1-0 at the half before exploding for four, second-half goals to claim the win. more

But Tuesday at Saddle Creek Golf Club, four was the lucky number for Marshall County as it secured the Gary Wells Cup for the fourth straight season by a 44-stroke margin over county rivals Cornersville and Forrest. "We're definitely excited to be able to keep it at Marshall County and I hope we can keep for the next 20 years or so," Tigers coach Alex Phelps said. "But we always have fun playing our county rivals Chapel Hill and Cornersville." more
Marshall County returned home after a record-setting victory at Cornersville to celebrate senior night with a 7-0 romp of Loretto in a girls soccer match before a boisterous home crowd. The Tigerettes (8-0, 2-0) dominated in all aspects of the game to avenge a 1-0 loss last season against the Mustangs. "We're a team first. All year, every game our message is team, team, team," Marshall Councy coach Mark Redferrin said. "One night a year it's all about some individuals and that's senior night. We love our seniors.
