A single-engine airplane crashed shortly after takeoff at Ellington Airport on Saturday and while a witness said it somersaulted after hitting the ground, all three on board survived with minor injuries. A Lewisburg Police officer has been suspended with pay pending the results of an investigation being conducted by Police Chief Chuck Forbis into allegations the lawman has been speeding in his personal car.
