William Ewing Bills, 85, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, March 1, 2021, at his residence.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Clifford Bills and Jean Eatherly DeFaut. He was a retired safety engineer for Kantus and was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents that raised him, Jesse and Kitty Bills, and one daughter, Pamela Duke in 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Smotherman Bills; daughters, Sherry Bills of Lewisburg, Kathy Bills Johnson of Lewisburg; sons, Cliff Bills of Pulaski and Jeff Bills of Tularosa, NM; sister, Janice Liggett of Lewisburg; two brothers, Steve Bills of North Plainville, NJ and David Bills of Atlanta, GA; three step-sons; ten grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece, Donna Norman of Columbia.
Graveside memorial services will be conducted Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 1 p.m. from Temple Cemetery with the burial to follow.
Visitation before the graveside memorial will begin at the cemetery at noon and will continue until the graveside hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
