LEWISBURG — On Monday night, the Marshall County Tiger wrestling team split a tri-match, beating Lawrence County in convincing fashion, while falling to Cascade.
Against the Wildcats, the Tigers recorded several wins via pin, with Carson Henderson defeating Isaac Brunelle via pin at the 132-pound weight class.
Anthony Chavez also pinned his opponent at the 160-pound class, before Anthony Smith recorded the final win on the mat of the match against Lawrence County at 195.
It was tough sledding against the Champions, with Chavez marking the only win on the mat with a pin over Cascade’s Max Darefsky at 160 in the second period.
