Sarah Mai Trice Davis was born in Lewisburg, Tennessee, on March 6, 1932, to the late Robert Nish Trice and the late Elise Fisher. At a young age, Sarah received Christ and was baptized. She departed this life April 5, 2021, after a brief illness at her home, surrounded by family.

Early in life, she projected a happy, fun-loving personality, which allowed her to obtain and keep lifetime friends. She loved to cook, entertain, and later became an avid letter writer.

Sarah would write friends and family as many as ten letters per week and would let them know she was unhappy when they didn’t write her back. For many years, she continued to write. She was greatly saddened when her health no longer allowed her to do so.

She attended school in Lewisburg at Jones Training School. She did day work and lived with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hooten, who lovingly referred to her as “Knot Head.” She later worked at Henry Horton State Park and Lewisburg Community Hospital from where she retired.

Sarah was married to the late Jasper H. Davis. To this union, they had four children. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert (Ricky) Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son Joe M. (Donna) Davis; two daughters, Ametrice C. (Robert) Biggers and Deborah S. (Dale) Lewis; three grandchildren; Misty Biggers, Robert Rashad (Sarah) Biggers and Devonna Davis; four great grandchildren Iendi’ Biggers, Iyasen Biggers, Colden Biggers, and Rian Biggers; one half brother, James Trice; two sisters-in-law, Eulean (George) Mendes and Betty Wood; devoted cousin Patricia Mayes; three dedicated loyal caregivers Lora Clifford, Evelyn Simmons and Stephanie Hankins. She was preceded in death by lifelong dedicated friend Pansie Lyttle. Caring and attentive friends; Janette Lyttle, Ronald Robinson, Lillie Crutcher, Lizzie (Monkey) Maxwell, Robert (Mousey) Liggett, Louise Trice and a host of nieces and nephews that would come at a moments notice.
