Despite unleashing a barrage of 3-pointers, the Firebirds were able to withstand the Rocket rally and claim the 66-56 win to end Forrest’s season.
The Firebirds posted an 11-point, 24-13 lead after the first frame, but was never able to truly put the Rockets out of reach.
After being held to single digits in the second quarter, Forrest rallied in the third for 15 points, while Pearl Cohn tacked on another 20 for a 53-36 lead after the third frame.
