Robert Lee Tate, age 83, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at his residence.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late James and Martha Waggoner Tate. He was an Electrical Engineer and a member of the Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce DeFoe Tate, son, Robert Louis “Bobby” Tate, and two brothers, Ray Tate and Frank Tate.
He is survived by one daughter, Sherry (Ken) Shrum of Murfreesboro, sisters, Hilda (Buddy) Tankersley, and Sylvia (Floyd) Whitsett, both of Lewisburg, and three grandsons, John Tate of Lewisburg, and Daniel and Samuel Shrum, both of Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home 310 North Main St. Cornersville, TN 37047 with burial to follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
Cornersville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
