Mr. Robert Clint Franklin, 80, died at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg, TN, Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019.

Funeral services for Mr. Franklin will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cook Memorial Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of the service at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton.

Robert was born on July 8, 1939, to Jennie May Franklin and Floyd Brown. He was reared by a dedicated grandmother, Ms. Victoria Cotham, in Lynnville, TN. He graduated from Bridgeforth High School in Lynnville, TN. He married Irene Franklin (who preceded in death 2011) and they settled lifelong in Lewisburg, TN. Robert worked for Heil Quaker for a number of years and later joined CSX Transportation as a welder for 26 years and retired. Robert was a proud member of the U.S. Army National Guard (1962-1990) holding rank of 1st Sgt. He served in Desert Storm. Also a member of the freemason society.

He is survived by three children; two daughters, Janice Kay Franklin and Victoria Franklin-Ray both of Lewisburg; son, Joseph C. Franklin (wife Kelly) of Cornersville; eight grandchildren, Kendra Franklin, Joshua Franklin, Kayla Ray, Taylor Ray, Colin Ray, Blake Pickett, Benjamin Franklin, Camille Franklin; a devoted niece, Lois Gilbreth Johnson of Nashville; six brothers and sisters, Ann Laura Armstrong (late James Edward Armstrong) of Lynnville, Faye Franklin of Lynnville, Raymond Franklin of Lynnville, Roger Dale Franklin of Lynnville, Jenette Franklin of Lewisburg, Donell Franklin of Pulaski. Robert will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
