Mr. Parks Gold, 94, of the Farmington community of Marshall County, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, in Columbia, TN.
Mr. Gold was born in Marshall County and was a son of the late Chesney Clifford and Mae Hastings Gold. He was a life long farmer and member of the Farmington United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gold was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elizabeth Thompson Gold, who died in 2000; a son, John Mark Gold; and his sister, Joan Eslick.
Mr. Gold is survived by his children, Elizabeth Manier, Bell Buckle, TN, James Michael Gold, Farmington community; sister, Jean Crowe, Kingsport, TN; brother, Bill Gold, Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Amanda McKoon, Bell Buckle, TN, Cassie Black, Lewisburg, TN, Brandon Gold, Shelbyville, TN; three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Temple Cemetery in the Farmington community with Rev. Larry Pedigo officiating. There will be no visitation prior to services. Burial will immediately follow in Temple Cemetery.
In light of the present health crisis, everyone attending the graveside services for Mr. Gold is ask to wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines.
