Mrs. Mary Joyce Harmond Allison, 87, longtime resident of Lewisburg, died on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at Williamson Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
A Marshall County native, she was born on Sept. 25, 1934, to the late Willie Lee Harmond and the late Mamie Kate Sharp Harmond. Joyce was a retired employee of Peoples & Union Bank. She later served as a board member of the Marshall County Chapter of the American Heart Association and was a longtime member of the Republican Women of Marshall County. She loved music, dogs, flowers, antiquing, and researching genealogy. Above all, her greatest love was for her grandsons. Mrs. Allison was a devoted member of East Commerce Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Allison Fox of Brentwood and grandchildren, William Allen Fox and James Thomas Fox.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ewing Allison; sister, Annie Lee Haislip; brother, Edd Harmond; and son-in-law, William Thomas Fox.
