John W. “Johnny” Sorrells, age 74, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
He was a native of Petersburg, the son of the late Archie and Sammie Riddle Sorrells. He was the owner of Sorrells Cycles and was a member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Sorrells in 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Toy-Sorrells of Lewisburg, daughter, Michelle Dozier of Nolensville, two grandsons, Austin and Dylan Dozier, brothers, Ward of Nashville, Ray of Tobaccoville, NC and Mike Sorrells of Petersburg, step-children, Shane Chapman, Dewayne Pruett, Dana Cook, and Katie Lovelace.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 7th, 2021 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial following in Old Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation with the family began on Friday, May 7th, 2021 from 1 until 3 p.m. and continued on Friday, May 7th, 2021 until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
