Mrs. Freda June Harris Hawkins, 85, of Lewisburg, TN, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020. Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Harris and Edna Frances Gillum Harris. Mrs. Hawkins was the widow of the late James Marion Hawkins. She enjoyed antiquing and was an avid horse enthusiast. Her life revolved around Tennessee Walking horses which she raised, bred and showed. Her favorite horse was Editorial Page who was a Reserve World Champion. Mrs. Hawkins was also a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son-in-law, Alan Patterson of Columbia, TN; Rollie Beard and a host of relatives and friends.
There will be a graveside service, at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Morton Cemetery in Maury County, with Isaac Bourne officiating.
