Mr. Eddie Lloyd Baird, Jr., age 93, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. Born in Nashville, TN, Mr. Baird was a son of the late Eddie L. Baird, Sr. and Elizabeth Nave Baird. He retired from AVCO as a supervisor in the production control section. A veteran of the United States Coast Guard, he served as a radar operator aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Gresham and later at the St. George Reef Light Station in California. Mr. Baird was a member of the Riggs Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dale, Dicky and Bobby Baird; 2 sisters, Sara Baird and Carole Blankenship.

Survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Inman Baird of Chapel Hill, TN; a son, Steven (Ronna) Baird of Chapel Hill, TN; a brother, Larry Baird of Hendersonville, TN; a sister, Jane Lester of Watertown, TN; an Aunt, Ruby West of Nashville, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
