Dorothy Mai Doggett, 84, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at her residence. Dorothy was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late Robert Doggett and Ethel Cozart Doggett. She was a retired school teacher and counselor at BGA from 1971-2001. She was inducted to the BGA Faculty Hall of Fame due to her years of service. Dorothy Mai Doggett, 84, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at her residence.

Dorothy was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late Robert Doggett and Ethel Cozart Doggett. She was a retired school teacher and counselor at BGA from 1971-2001. She was inducted to the BGA Faculty Hall of Fame due to her years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by numerous cousins including a special cousin, Wayne Cozart, and a wealth of adopted family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091 with burial to follow in Medium Cemetery, Giles County.

Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. and will continue until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, the Humane Society, and/or Compassus Hospice.

London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
