The Lewisburg City Council, in a special called meeting Wednesday afternoon, selected current First Ward Councilman Bam Haislip as the next Lewisburg city manager.
The other four council members voted unanimously for Haislip from the three candidates interviewed last week, in a meeting lasting less than two minutes.
Haislip will follow current City Manager Buck Beard when Beard retires from the city in January.
