Archie Fremen, 91, of Lewisburg, died March 2, 2023, in Maury Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 3, 1931, in New Orleans, LA. Archie joined the U.S. Army in 1949 and served in the Republic of Korea. Afterwards, he attended Officer Candidate School and became a helicopter pilot. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was a decorated veteran, receiving numerous air metals and the Distinguished Flying Cross, a military decoration of the U.S. Armed Forces, a third level decoration awarded to officers.
Archie is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ingeborg; three sons, Robert (Lindsey) Fremen, Ed (Cathy) Fremen, and Jeff (Carla) Fremen; one daughter, Sandy Fremen; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Westvue Church of Christ, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 12:30 p.m., directly after visitation which will start at 11:30 a.m.
