Charlie Boyd Youth Deer Roundup held for youth during this deer season is a great introduction of kids to many outdoor opportunities. Named in honor of long-time Marshall County Wildlife officer, Charlie Boyd, the youth event pays tribute to the man who played an integral role to re-establish whitetail deer in our area. This year’s roundup was the second ever and successfully reached 49 kids including one who harvested a great 14 point buck.

In support of the Charlie Boyd Youth Deer Roundup and to encourage youth to be active outdoors many groups, businesses and individuals in our community recently sponsored the Charlie Boyd Youth Deer Roundup in Belfast for all youth of the county.

Key sponsors of Charlie Boyd Youth Deer Roundup who show great support of our youth include: Marshall County Youth in the Outdoors, TALOS Engineered Products, Henry Repeating Arms, East Commerce Baptist Church Wildlife Ministries Group, Lewisburg Rotary Club, SunDrop of Pulaski, Academy Sports, Tennessee Armory and Outdoor Supply, Family of Charlie Boyd, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, B&B Deer Processing (John Barron), Nemo Hills Taxidermy, Blackwell Taxidermy, and Southern Precision Taxidermy.

Many other local businesses, individuals and landowners giving donations, time, guidance and places youth can hunt.
