Bobby Cummings Darnell, age 80, died May 9, 2021 at NHC Columbia surrounded by family and wonderful staff. Mr. Darnell was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the National Guard. He served 7 years, 9 months and 20 days and obtained the rank of First Lieutenant. He was the son of the late, William Clifford Darnell and Mazelle Cummings Darnell.
He is survived by: daughters – Sonya Darnell (Mark) Kopp, Pamper Darnell (Bobby) Foster and Mary “Ginny” Darnell (Jon) Hall; step-children – Adam Smith, Brigid Smith and Abigail Smith Brizzolara; grandchildren – Ashley Brumley, Krystal Hanvy, Alexis Hall, and Lily Hall; great-granddaughter – Isabella Hanvy; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
