Billy Joe Smith, 36, of Belfast, died on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Park. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Born on Jan. 10, 1986, he was the son of William “Bill” Smith and Melissa Jett. He loved music and his favorite movie was Titanic.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, A.J. Smith; sisters, Cynthia Roberts, Mary Jane McCaffrey, Shelia Smith; grandmother, Mary Jett; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Billy Joe is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe Jett and Robert Smith, and uncle, Ricky A. Smith.
