Billy Deece Haislip

Billy Deece Haislip, 90, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at his residence in Cornersville, TN.

He was a native of Marshall County, born at home to the late Burdie Austin and Lessie Lee Burgett Haislip. He was a member of the Church Street Church of Christ and was a self-employed entrepreneur selling trailers, cars, and tractors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of seventy years, Jo Ellen Spivy Haislip in 2020, his daughter, Connie Fay Jones in 2021, sister, Mary Eudora Warren, brother Kenneth Loyd Haislip, two step-brothers, Clayton Franklin and Burdie Marshall Haislip.

He is survived by his daughter, Nina Haislip (Jesse) Bunch of Fayetteville, a double first cousin, Dwayne Haislip, Lewisburg, several nieces and nephews, two grandchildren, four step grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, and fourteen step great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in the Medium Cemetery, Giles County.

Visitation with the family will begin at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, and will continue Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, starting at 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church Street Church of Christ or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
