Betty Murchison West, daughter of the late David C. Murchison and Cecil Murchison, a resident of Brentwood, formally of Lewisburg, died August 6, 2021, at her home, after an extended illness. She was a long-time educator both in the classroom and the library and a member of the Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles G West, Sr; son, Charles “Chuck” G. West, Jr. (Gina) of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Cecilia W. Spivy (Tommy) of Lewisburg; three grandsons, Charles G. West, III of Birmingham, Will Spivy (Andrea) of Cornersville, and Brett Spivy (Diana) of Spring Hill; three great-grandsons; two sisters, Camille M. Demonbreun of Kansas City, MO and Ruth M. Edwards of Murfreesboro; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Murchison and a sister, Gay M. Hurt.
Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 3 PM from the Crieve Hall Church of Christ, 4806 Trousdale Dr, Nashville, TN 37220. Private entombment will be conducted at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.
Pallbearers will be Will Spivy, Brett Spivy, Ethan Spivy, Joe Tenpenny, Ronnie Edwards and Bob Tracy.
