Belinda Lee "Linda" Dixon

On this day, we celebrate the life of Belinda Lee Dixon, “Linda.” Linda was born on Oct. 15, 1958, in Shelbyvile, TN to the late John Buchanan and Betty (Sparrow) Buchanan. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John Buchanan, Jr., Phillip Buchanan, and a devoted uncle and aunt, Butch and Judy Sparrow.

She is survived by a loving husband of 36 years, Victor Dixon and three devoted daughters: Talitha Harris, Tamela Haislip, and Nicky (Gerard) Randolph. She was blessed with three bonus children: Toriono (Love) Brown, Vatonya Dixon, and Darren Lyttle. Linda is also survived by one sister, Brenda Buchanan of Nashville, TN; a stepmom, Bertha Buchanan of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Faye Jean Kelso and brother-in-law, Thomas L Edmonson, both of Fayetteville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Linda, also known as “Granny,” was loved and cherished by all her grandchildren: Montrell Harris, Taliyah Angus, Jailen Brown, Jayden Randolph, Markel Harris, Nihla Brown and T’Myah  Cannon.

Linda was baptized at a young age and recently moved her membership to Greater First Baptist Church. She was retired from the Marshall County School System and the Lewisburg Housing Authority.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at 1 p.m. from the Greater First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at the church two hours prior to the service at 11 a.m. and will continue until the funeral hour.

London Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
